Welcome to Kindergarten with Mrs. Swanson at Belle Creek Charter School!
My name is Amy Swanson and I am one of three kindergarten teachers at Belle Creek Charter School. I have been a kindergarten teacher for 20 years and I am excited to begin this school year with you and your children.
Becoming a kindergarten student is a tremendous milestone in your child’s life. The amount of growth that kindergarteners are able to achieve academically, socially, and emotionally always amazes those closest to them and as their teacher, I consider myself fortunate to be given the opportunity to guide your child in these learning experiences through the use of engaging, collaborative, and research based teaching practices.
Kindergarten students enter the classroom each and every day filled with optimism, an unprecedented level of creative energy, a willingness to try new or challenging things, and an excitement for learning that is unmatched. My goal as your child’s teacher is to use the positive characteristics your child brings with them into our classroom as the foundation for their education while helping each student recognize their abilities to be successful learners and valued members of our school community.
