Welcome to 4th Grade!

Hi! My name is Maria Newman and I will be your child's 4th Grade Teacher this year. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa in 2007 and moved to Colorado that summer. In the past, I have been an elementary school teacher in third and fourth grade for 8.5 years. I took some time off to be a mom and came back to education as a para here at Belle Creek in 2020, then as a teacher in 2022. This will be my fifth year here at Belle Creek! I grew up in Illinois and am the proud mom of two kids!
