Skills 3 Lesson 21:
Students will follow along as the teacher reads the personal narrative “The Big Storm,” will read a Five W’s graphic explaining the elements of a good personal narrative, and will fill out a story map summarizing the story. [RF.2.4a; W.2.3]
 
Listening & Learning:
Knowledge 5 Lesson 6:
Students will sequence the events from the Battle of Baltimore using time order words (first, next, then, last). [RI.2.3]
 
Math:
Topic 6 Assessment
Students will take the Topic 6 assessment and use their strategies to solve the subtraction problems.

Skills 3 Lesson 22:
Students will identify action verbs in oral and written sentences. [RF.2.4a; L.2.1; L.2.3]

Knowledge 5 Lesson 7:
Students will listen to a recording of “The Battle of New Orleans” and summarize its key ideas. [SL.2.2]

Topic 7 Lessons 1-3
Students will model problems using equations with unknowns in any position, and use drawings and equations to make sense of the words in problems.

Students will explain the connection between privateers and the War of 1812. [RI.2.3]
