Mrs. McClaskey

Hello my name is Desiree McClaskey,

I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year at BCCS! Or as the children say, “Mrs. Claskey” or “Mrs. Classy. I live in Reunion with my husband Jordan and one year old son Jonah. Before welcoming my son, I had my first Kindergarten teaching assignment in Fort Lauderdale Florida where I ultimately found my calling for Elementary education.

My pathway to becoming a teacher hasn't been traditional, in fact originally I went to college to become an investigative journalist and somehow along the road I found my passion for teaching while working part time at a nearby campus preschool. After graduating from Colorado State University I committed to finding an alternative route to becoming a teacher.

I am extremely excited and feel honored to be teaching your students this school year, and please if you have any questions or concerns always feel free to reach out to me via Parent Square. I look forward to meeting all the parents and guardians of my sweet students, feel free to say hi and introduce yourself at the end of day pickup.
